Hi,

Anyone tested with realtek usb adapter for a mesh network. Any positive results?
If so was it with the in-kernel driver of the realtek provided one?

Haven't tried it before. The open source driver (rtlwifi) seems to
support this. Did you try it?

No haven't tested it yet. We are investigating using the driver from Realtek but
not being able to run a mesh network over them could be a deal breaker. That why
I was trying to have feedback. If we decide to try it I'll send our conclusion on
this list.

Hi, Francois

Have an opportunity testing out the rtl8192cu and found out that
beaconing is not working even for AP mode.

So probably need to fix this first before we can use this for mesh.

Thanks for your feedback. We are starting in deeper investigation as of today.

Can you tell me which version of the driver you were using?

Was it the drivers shipped with the kernel? If so which kernel version was it?

Thanks
