I am interested in testing some boards using 802.11s that have chipsets
that are driven by the ath10k driver. I understand currently that 802.11s
is not supported by the ath10k chipsets and driver. I was wondering what
needed to be done and if anyone was working on it.

Thx,
Y

ath10k is a FullMAC implementation. We need to have the firmware from
QCA or engaging QCA to make necessary changes for mesh to work.

Thanks Yeoh,

So is QCA working on a firmware load that will support 802.11s? or is it
that for mesh to work you need to be able to modify the firmware and QCA is
not supporting that?

Thx,

Hi, Yile

I am not sure about whether QCA has any plan to implement 802.11s in
their firmware. The best we can do is pushing QCA to release the
ath10k as open firmware and let the community to implement it.
